Djakarta Lloyd, Pt
A government-owned ocean shipping company, founded in 1951 by Bank Negara Indonesia 46. Since then the company was technically under the supervision of the Department of Transportation. Since the New Order administration, this state-owned enterprise achieved a prominent role, although it did not occupy a dominant position in the ocean shipping business. The overseas shipping route is regulated on the project route basis that links Indonesia and abroad. The routes are: Indonesia-Europe, Indonesia-Japan/Korea, Indonesia-US/Canada, Indonesia-Australia, Indonesia-the Middle East. PT Djakarta Lloyd also collaborates with foreign ocean shipping companies, such as Hapag Lloyd (West Germany), Maersk Line Ben Ocean, and the President Lines.
