Many Frigate birds can be found in the waters of Jakarta Bay, that often fly soaring into the mainland, even to Jakarta. Agile against the wind, the birds have a clear silhouette with their long body and a forked tail, and long pointed wings angled in the middle. Mostly black with white colors in different sizes according to the type, sex, and age. These birds look for food by taking it over from other sea birds, they chase them until they release the hunted prey. Even so, these birds are not reluctant to pick up pieces of offal thrown unto the deck, so they look more like robbers than swordsman having a control over air currents. These birds breed on reefs islands; the males have red bulging pouches under their beaks.
