It is the first book containing description on Sunda and its ports. It is written by Cahu Ju-Kua, a descendant of Emperor Tai-tsung, who served as an overseer of commerce with foreign countries in  Tsuan-chou (Olive) port in   Fukien province in   Southern Sun Wangsa dynasty. The Chufan-ci  book (reports on far away countries) was written based on information from foreign merchants and Chinese sailors who visited Sin-to (Sunda)between   1178 and 1225.  Published during the life time of the author and became part of a collection of Chinese literature, Yung-lo-ta-tien (before 1407) and was printed in 1783 by Li Tiau-yiian in the work of Han-hai.
