Part of the West Jakarta Municipality, covering an area of 3,009 ha. According to statistics in 2004, land function consists of housing 1,097.60 ha; industries 97.25 ha; offices 328.92 ha; parks 31.90 ha; agriculture 118.64 ha; unused land 619.12 ha and others 715.57 ha. Administratively comprises six urban villages, 82 RW (community units), 955 RT (neighborhood units), 95,977 KK (households), 231,234 people and an area of 30.29 km2 (23.58%) with a population density of 7,685 people / km2. The Cengkareng Sub-District comprises:
(a) Duri Kosambi Urban Village (503ha) with a population of 40,044 people and 16,204 households;
(b) Rawa Buaya Urban Village (467 ha) with a population of 26,323 people and 11,445 households;
(c) Kedaung Kali Angke Urban Village (261 ha) with a population of 18,914 people and 7,358 households;
(d) Kapuk Urban Village (723 ha) with a population of 53,965 people and 18,887 households;
(e) East Cengkareng Urban Village (511 ha) with a population of 44,810 people and 16,250 households;
(f) West Cengkareng Urban Village (545 ha) with a population of 47,005 people and 15,836 households.
