Cempaka Putih

A tree with the scientific name Micheliaalba Dc. The cempaka putih tree can reach 30 m in height. The stem is woody, single leafed, oval in shape, and green in color. Its flowers are white and fragrant. The tree never bears fruit. The flowers, leaves and roots of the cempaka putih tree can be used as herbs. Flowers are useful for remedying bronchitis, cough, fever, yeast infections, and inflammation of the prostate. Leaves are useful for remedying bronchitis, urinary tract infections, and low urination while its roots are useful for urinary tract infections and topical use for inflammatory skin diseases like ulcers and boils. In Jakarta its name is used as a toponym of a district in Central Jakarta.
