Cak Tarian Rina

A collaborative Balinese dance drama created by choreographer Sardono W. Kusumo with a process lasting 6 months involving 65 local residents of the Kanginan Bali village who were not dancers. When it was first staged in Bali, the dance raised controversy because it was rumored that the children dancing were naked. However, when staged in TIM Jakarta it was a huge success, and because it was so spectacular it was also performed in Paris and shook the French performing arts scene.
