Bakiak

Often referred to as Bakiak. It is a type of footwear for men invented in the late 19th Century. It is made of light lute wood, which is yellow or white in color. Baklak is lined with used car tires that are 2cm wide, and nailed on the sides so that they are easy to be worn. Baklak is often made of hibiscus wood because it is light. Baklak was often worn for showers, taking water from the well and for business in the toilet.
